
Overview
Elizabeth Sher is a trial and appellate lawyer who has represented many long-standing Day Pitney clients in complex commercial claims throughout the U.S. In addition, she has handled professional liability disputes, directors and officers liability defense, and consumer class action defense.
Ms. Sher has represented clients in trials, appeals, and hearings in both state and federal court in New Jersey and New York, as well as the Second Circuit and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She has also participated in state administrative matters, in applications addressed to the United States Supreme Court, and in motions and trials in the courts of other states, including California, Delaware, and Ohio. In addition to her litigation experience, Ms. Sher has training and experience as a mediator and in representing clients in mediation.
Since May 2018, Ms. Sher has served as Day Pitney’s General Counsel, assisting the firm’s management and personnel with conflicts and ethics issues, risk management and compliance, contract review, and various other legal matters. She also participates extensively in Day Pitney's professional development and training program.
Ms. Sher clerked for The Honorable Leonard I. Garth of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
