Day Pitney Tax Partner Stephen Ziobrowski Named "Massachusetts Go To Lawyer - Taxation" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

Stephen Ziobrowski, a Day Pitney tax partner and chair of its Tax group, was named a "Massachusetts Go To Lawyer - Taxation" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Ziobrowski was nominated by his colleagues and selected by a panel from Lawyers Weekly.

The Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly describes a "Go To Lawyer as "an expert in his or her field; a senior attorney well-versed in case law, statutes and regulations; experienced, with a record of success in cases and/or transactions; a lawyer to whom other lawyers make referrals because of his or her expertise and accomplishments; and a lawyer who can think creatively and identify all options for a client."

Ziobrowski practices in the area of tax planning for businesses and individuals. On the business side, he advises clients on business formations, reorganizations, spin-offs, sales and liquidations, and equity-based compensation plans, including qualified and nonqualified stock options. Ziobrowski also does tax planning for S corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies in various business ventures. On the individual side, he advises clients on like-kind exchanges, alternative minimum tax, international tax issues, and other tax matters. Ziobrowski represents taxpayers before courts and administrative bodies in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities.

Ziobrowski is an American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Fellow. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Brown University, his J.D. from Harvard Law School, and his LL.M. from Boston University. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
