Labor & Employment Associate
Day Pitney's Employment & Labor group is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of employment and labor experience to join our growing team in Parsippany, NJ.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in performing legal research and representing employers in various labor and employment-related matters, including litigation in state and federal court, before state and federal administrative agencies, and in labor arbitration. Experience with employment matters, such as those involving allegations of discrimination, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations is preferred. Experience counseling employers on labor relations and employment law matters, conducting internal investigations, and drafting employment-related policies and agreements is a plus.
Day Pitney's Employment & Labor team advises clients on a broad range of labor and employment issues that impact the modern workplace. Our lawyers represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as before the National Labor Relations Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Day Pitney offers a hybrid work schedule, combining three in-office days with two remote days each week, providing our attorneys with greater flexibility.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of demonstrated employment & labor experience
- Excellent technical, legal research, professional and client service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
- Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively, and to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs
- New Jersey bar admission in good standing is required (CT and NY bar admission is a plus)
