Sean 'Diddy' Combs prosecutors show evidence of abuse and instances of consent
Day Pitney White Collar Partner Steve Reynolds was recently featured in the Thomson Reuters article, “Sean 'Diddy' Combs prosecutors show evidence of abuse and instances of consent.” Reynolds, a former federal prosecutor, discussed the uphill battle facing the defense, as prosecutors present a compelling racketeering and sex trafficking case built on the victims’ accounts of their coercive and abusive encounters with Combs, corroborating video evidence, and expert testimony explaining how abusers use threats, isolation and financial dependence to keep their victims in abusive relationships and under their control.
He noted, “Such compelling testimony from the victims, corroborated by the other evidence in the case of Combs' abuse and control, will be very difficult for the defense to try to overcome.”
