Don't Expect to Return to the Office Until Sept. 1: Some Connecticut Big Law Firms Won't Reopen for Months
Although many law firms have begun to re-open, Day Pitney has decided that it will not re-open its offices before September 1, in order to protect the health and safety of the firm's employees. In the meantime, attorneys and staff are strongly encouraged to work remotely. Managing Partner Tom Goldberg was quoted in Connecticut Law Tribune article "Don't Expect to Return to the Office Until Sept. 1: Some Connecticut Big Law Firms Won't Reopen for Months." The article discusses firms in Connecticut and their reopening plans and procedures. Goldberg noted that when the firm does re-open, "there will still be social distancing guidelines and the wearing of masks. We will also have hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes and we will make masks available for visitors." He also explained, "going into the office will be voluntary. We expect many people will still work from home."
