Law Firms Want Their Staff's Tech Opinions-But You Can't Please Everyone
Day Pitney's Chief Information Officer, Kermit Wallace, is quoted in an article, "Law Firms Want Their Staff's Tech Opinions—But You Can't Please Everyone," published by LegalTech News, an ALM publication. The piece discusses the importance of law firms leveraging feedback from employees on new technologies being implemented, particularly in a market crowded with options. Wallace told LegalTech News, "I think that there's a lot more avenues for people to be aware of technology, and you can't ignore that. So the response has been, at least from my perspective, you have to do the best you can, you have to get in front of this and solicit that feedback." He also noted Day Pitney focuses on specific deployment efforts on targeted audiences or departments, a practice that most firms likely emulate, and that there are limits to what a law firm may be willing to change in order to accommodate its employees. "You want people to be happy and satisfied but there's also a reason why it's called 'work'," Wallace said.
