CPA Symposium 2024 - What CPAs Need to Know About The Corporate Transparency Act

Litigation Vice Chair Mark Salah Morgan will speak at CPA Symposium hosted by National Life Group held from November 10 to 13 at the Vdara Hotel & Spa in Las Vegas.

On November 12 at 10:00 a.m., Morgan will present the topic, "The Corporate Transparency Act: What CPAs Need to Know," covering essential aspects of compliance with the CTA. He will discuss the types of entities required to submit Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reports to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and outline exemptions to these reporting requirements. Morgan will explain the specific information that must be reported, the deadlines for initial filings and updates, and the penalties for non-compliance. Additionally, he will clarify who qualifies as a beneficial owner under the CTA and provide a step-by-step guide to ensure compliance with the act.

The CPA Symposium brings together CPAs who handle high-net-worth clients and family offices around the country. It will offer 16 total CPE credits.
