Day Pitney's Andraya Brunau Honored With A Hartford Business Journal 2026 40 Under Forty Award

Day Pitney LLP is pleased to announce that Intellectual Property Litigation Partner Andraya Pulaski Brunau has been named a recipient of a Hartford Business Journal 2026 40 Under Forty Award. This honor recognizes outstanding young professionals in the Greater Hartford area who are making significant contributions to their industries and communities through leadership, professional achievement, and service. Brunau will receive her award at the awards celebration on September 17 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, Connecticut.

Brunau chairs Day Pitney's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice and serves as Vice Chair of the firm's Commercial Litigation Business Unit in New England and Washington, D.C. She represents established and emerging companies in complex trademark, copyright, trade secret and commercial disputes in Connecticut, Massachusetts, the Southern District of New York, and federal courts across the country, as well as before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Since joining Day Pitney following a clerkship with the Connecticut appellate court, Brunau has developed a sophisticated intellectual property litigation practice while helping advance the growth of the firm's litigation platform.

Beyond her legal practice, Brunau is deeply committed to mentorship, professional development, and advancing opportunities for women in the legal profession. As Co-Chair of Day Pitney's Women Working Together® initiative, she launched a biennial retreat that brings together women attorneys from across the firm to strengthen connections, foster leadership development, and identify meaningful ways to support and retain women attorneys throughout their careers. She also worked to reform the firm's parental leave policy and actively mentors junior attorneys as they develop litigation and courtroom experience. 

Equally dedicated to community service, Brunau was a long-time volunteer with Read to a Child and served on the board of the Connecticut Fair Housing Center, and a member of the Connecticut Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section, Executive Committee. Brunau is actively involved with the International Trademark Association, where she is serving a second term on the Parallel Imports Committee and Lever Rule Subcommittee, and is a lead contributor to the group’s policy and advocacy work. Brunau maintains an active pro bono practice representing veterans in housing disputes, nonprofits in intellectual property disputes, and individuals pursuing civil rights claims.  

Brunau earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Providence College and her J.D., with Honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
