Day Pitney Wins MDFAWL Large Law Firm Champion of Women Award
Day Pitney LLP is proud to be the recipient of the 2026 Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (MDFAWL) Large Law Firm Champion of Women Award. The firm was celebrated at the MDFAWL 46th Annual Installation & Awards Reception held at the Perez Art Museum Miami on May 20.
Magda Rodriguez, Miami Healthcare Partner and chair of the MDFAWL Corporate Counsel Committee, stated, "We are honored to receive the MDFAWL Large Law Firm Champion of Women Award. This recognition reflects our strong commitment to advancing and supporting women in the legal profession, both within our firm and throughout the Miami-Dade community. Through initiatives like our Women Working Together®, we are intentional about fostering meaningful mentorship, creating leadership opportunities, and building an environment where women not only thrive, but feel supported and empowered at every stage of their careers. This is an important part of who we are as a firm, and one we believe brings value to our culture and community. We are grateful to MDFAWL for this recognition and proud to stand alongside others who share this commitment."
The awards are a recognition of a law firm with at least one office in Miami-Dade County that has championed the advancement of women in the legal profession. The MDFAWL Board of Directors considers actions taken by the nominated firms' Miami-Dade County office(s) in the following areas: hiring and retaining women; implementing general employment practices and procedures that increase or enhance the representation of women in leadership positions in the legal profession; promoting women to equity partnership and positions in firm leadership; and implementing firm policies that are intended to retain and promote women. Day Pitney was recognized in the large law firm category (50+ attorneys).
