Admission Impossible

Day Pitney Miami Partner Daniel Diaz Leyva was recently featured in the Florida Trend article, “Admission Impossible,” which explores the rising demand and limited capacity of Florida’s elite private schools. Reflecting on the growing enrollment pressures faced by families and institutions alike, Diaz Leyva, chair of Day Pitney's Florida Real Estate practice, noted: “The private schools just don’t have enough capacity. These are growing pains that a city like Miami is experiencing. As painful as it is as a parent like myself going through this process, these are good problems to have, because it shows that the market’s growing. All the problems that we have are born out of the success that we’ve had as a state, attracting people to move here, and the environment that we live in.”

He also pointed to new efforts addressing the shortage, adding, “There’s definitely a lot of entrepreneurs that are trying to identify the problem and bring a solution.”
