Brandon McCool co-organized and Carrie Webb Olson moderated the Boston Bar Association (BBA) webinar panel "Laced with Protection: Stepping into Sneaker IP Law" on February 24, from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m.
 
Carrie Webb Olson moderated the panel, which featured Alexandra DeNeve, Associate General Counsel of Trademark and Brand Enforcement at New Balance, Demeka Fields, Global Sports Marketing Counsel at New Balance, and Kelly Grosshuesch, IP Litigation Associate at Goodwin Proctor LLP.
 
The panel provided an overview of key IP fundamentals, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets, and explored the latest trends and special considerations in the sneaker industry, such as sponsorships, collaborations, and co-branding.
 
Brandon co-organized the panel as co-chair of the Arts, Sports, and Entertainment subcommittee of the BBA's Intellectual Property Law Section Steering Committee.
