Day Pitney Partner Peter Wolfson Named a 2025 NJBIZ ICON Honoree
Day Pitney LLP is proud to announce that Real Estate Partner Peter J. Wolfson has been named a 2025 ICON Award honoree by NJBIZ in recognition of his distinguished leadership, legal acumen, and impact in the real estate field. He is the second Day Pitney attorney to receive this recognition, following Partner and General Counsel Elizabeth Sher’s selection in 2023.
The ICON Awards honor New Jersey business leaders aged 60 and older for their enduring impact, leadership, and professional accomplishments across industries such as accounting, architecture, real estate, law, government, hospitality, and more. According to NJBIZ, nominees must live and work in New Jersey, have held a senior leadership role, and be affiliated with a company with at least 50 employees and a presence in the state. Marino. “From guiding transformative redevelopment projects to balancing the interests of communities and developers, his work has left a lasting imprint across the state. We’re proud to see his dedication and leadership recognized with this honor.”
At Day Pitney, Wolfson advises developers, corporations, and institutions through all phases of land use and real estate development. Drawing on his experience in both private practice and public service, he guides clients through transactions, financing, redevelopment plans and agreements, land use approvals, project disposition, leasing, and purchase and sale. A trusted advisor in complex deals, litigation strategy, and appeals, he also counsels on real estate taxation and common interest ownership matters.
“New Jersey has been both the backdrop and the focus of my career, so receiving this recognition is especially meaningful,” said Peter Wolfson. “I’ve been fortunate to work alongside dedicated clients, colleagues, and communities over the years, and I share this award with all those who’ve partnered with me to help shape the places where we live, work, and grow.”
Outside the firm, Wolfson is deeply engaged in the legal and business communities. He served on the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Land Use Section Board from 2005 to 2008 and has been a member of the Morris County Bar Association’s Land Use Section since 2003.
