Day Pitney Expands Sports, Media, and Entertainment Practice with Addition of Juan Delgado

Day Pitney LLP is pleased to announce that Juan P. Delgado has joined the firm as a partner and co-chair of the firm’s Sports, Media, and Entertainment practice. Delgado brings nearly 30 years of experience advising media, entertainment, and technology companies, as well as extensive corporate, M&A, and family office experience. He will be based in the firm’s Miami office.

Prior to joining Day Pitney, Delgado served as vice president and head of business and legal affairs, Latin America for Paramount Global, where he led high-profile transactions and legal strategies across the region. He also previously spent 15 years at Comcast-NBCUniversal’s US Hispanic division, Telemundo Media, handling major media transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance matters. Additionally, Delgado founded and successfully built his own boutique law firm, representing more than 150 clients across the sports, media, and entertainment industries.

Day Pitney’s Sports, Media, and Entertainment practice advises clients on a broad range of corporate, transactional, regulatory, and intellectual property matters, including content licensing, production agreements, M&A, labor and employment, and emerging technologies such as AI and streaming platforms. Delgado’s leadership will strengthen the firm’s position in these industries, with a particular focus on Latin America and cross-border transactions.

Delgado is an active member of the Florida Bar and has been a member of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law section since 1999, joining its Executive Board in 2021. He earned his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law and B.S. from the University of Florida. Delgado is admitted to practice in Florida.
